4-time Grammy nominee Ashley McBryde is the newest country music artist to be invited to join the Grand Ole Opry family. On October 6, 2022, Ashley was surprised by Opry Member, country music superstar, Garth Brooks, to join the most coveted family in country music with an invitation to become the next member live on CBS Mornings.
McBryde broke into the scene in 2016 with her EP Jalopies & Expensive Guitars which drew attention from country artist Eric Church. By 2017, Ashley released her debut single “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” with Warner Music Nashville. That same year, she made her emotional Opry Debut on June 16, 2017, which was captured for an episode of My Opry Debut that aired on Circle Network.
During her debut, she sang her song “Girl Going Nowhere,” which was written specifically for the moment she got to step into the historic Circle for the first time.
McBryde has gone on to have tremendous success. She has released 3 full albums since her Opry Debut including, Girl Going Nowhere, Never Will and most recently, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville.
McBryde has earned 4 Grammy Nominations, and a handful of CMA, ACM and CMT Music award nominations. Her wins include: 2018 ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year, 2019 ACM Musical Event of the Year for “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” 2019 CMA New Artist of the Year and 2021 ACM Musical Event of the Year for her performance of “Never Wanted to Be that Girl” with Carly Pearce.
