Country music icon Billy Ray Cyrus and Australian musician Firerose are embarking on a new chapter in their lives, having recently tied the knot in a heartwarming and intimate wedding ceremony.
Just a year after they announced their engagement, the duo shared their joyous news with fans via a delightful joint Instagram statement. And of course, they couldn’t resist showing off some of the wedding day highlights.
“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined,” the couple wrote in a joint post. “For both of us to hear the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife’ that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!”
Billy Ray has shared that he and Firerose initially bumped into each other in 2012 while they were both working on the set of Hannah Montana.
“There’s a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee. [My late German Shepherd] Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he’d take care of his business and we’d stretch and I’d think how much I missed Tennessee. On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I was like, ‘This girl’s a star,'” Billy Ray said according to People.
Although it’s unclear when the pair officially started dating, speculation about Firerose and Billy Ray’s engagement began when, on September 13, 2022, she shared a photo wearing a sparkling diamond ring on her finger.
