COZY UP WITH CIRCLE NETWORK FOR A MONTH-LONG DOLLY PARTON-INSPIRED “HOLLY DOLLY CHRISTMAS” KICKING OFF DECEMBER 3, 2022

While Holiday Programming will Air Throughout the Month, Circle is Bringing the Hits with Dolly Parton’s: A Holly Dolly Christmas, A Smoky Mountain Christmas and Christmas at Home

WHO: Circle, the award-winning country music and lifestyle network and official TV home of the Grand Ole Opry. 

WHAT: This holiday season Circle Network is celebrating a month of Dolly Parton with their “Holly Dolly Christmas” marathon, beginning Saturday, December 3 at 8:00pm ET. The network will air specials around Dolly Parton’s A Holly Dolly Christmas, and classics A Smoky Mountain Christmas and Christmas at Home. The three films will repeat throughout the month, including an all-day marathon on Christmas Day, and will be sprinkled in with more holiday content such as “Homes for the Holidays,” “Circle Sessions: Carrie Underwood” and more.

Circle Network will also be hosting a Holly Dolly Giveaway throughout the month with their “Ultimate Dolly Parton Stocking Stuffer Prize Pack,” featuring items such as Dolly Christmas Tote bags, signed pictures, Doggy Parton Pet Apparel and more Dolly merchandise.     • Description: Dolly Parton’s A Holly Dolly Christmas TV special features the iconic country superstar for an “intimate, candlelit” performance, featuring holiday classics, hymns and new songs on her 2020 Christmas album – which features a star-studded cast of guests. Plus, she’ll share personal stories and reflections on faith for the season.
    • Dolly Parton: A Holly Dolly Christmas will repeat throughout the day on December 3rd, 7th, 24th and 25th 
  • Saturday, December 10 at 7:00pm ET: A Smoky Mountain Christmas (1986)
    • Description: The beautiful Smoky Mountains are the backdrop for this poignant drama about the joys of sharing Christmas with a family. Dolly Parton stars as Lorna Davis, a singing star overburdened by her career and loneliness. Taking refuge in a friend’s cabin, Lorna discovers the place has been appropriated by seven parentless kids fleeing their orphanage. Lorna and the youngsters agree to keep their mutual escapes secret, but complications develop, thanks to the local witch (Anita Morris) and the sheriff (Bo Hopkins). Lee Majors also stars.

  • Saturday, December 17 at 8:00pm ET: Christmas At Home (1990)
    • Description: Dolly Parton returns home to Sevierville and to Dollywood where she joins her family and friends to share songs and memories of the holidays in this 1990 TV special to accompany her Christmas Album, Home for Christmas.
