The 2023 NCAA football season will kick off in style at the Allstate Sugar Bowl with its inaugural Country Kickoff.

Leading the lineup this year is none other than Garth Brooks, headlining the musical extravaganza. Joining him to open the event will be the talented Lainey Wilson and the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

The Country Kickoff will happen on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event is open to the public, and tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday, July 21.

According to an official news release, the proceeds generated from the event will contribute to the Allstate Sugar Bowl’s ongoing support for various community programs. The CEO of the Sugar Bowl, Jeff Hundley, expressed that the concert is a strategic step towards enhancing the Sugar Bowl’s competitiveness among other prominent bowls, particularly in the context of the expanded College Football Playoff.

“Being asked to be part of the first-ever Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is an honor,” Brooks said in a statement. “The fun will be in getting to perform with Legends Nitty Gritty and future legend Miss Wilson in front of arguably the greatest country music fans on the planet.
