Luke Combs’ 2023 World Tour made a stop in Nashville, TN over the weekend, where he performed for two nights for a record-breaking attendance in Music City. On his second night, April 15, he fulfilled his promise and revealed the announcement that his fans had been anxiously anticipating.
During a series of social media posts at the beginning of the month, Combs announced that he wanted his fans to vote which single they wanted to hear next on the radio. He gave fans two options – “5 Leaf Clover” or “Love You Anyway.” The winner was said to be announced by Combs during his Nashville sppearance.
“It was real close,” Combs said during his announcement at Nissan Stadium. “I think it was 51% to 49% so it was neck and neck. The song we’re about to play right now is the winner.”
The winning track was revealed to be “I Love You Anyway.” The song is meaningfully directed towards his wife, Nicole, where he pledges to continue loving her, regardless of whether she would ever decide to to leave him one day.
Previously, Luke Combs excited fans by announcing an additional show in Nashville for Friday, April 14, just a week before his original one-night scheduled performance. It was later said that he smashed Nissan Stadium’s attendance records for both two-day and single-day concerts, drawing in a remarkable crowd of over 95,000.
