Memphis, TN… A newly-produced television program will soon promote the Memphis Music Hall of Fame to a national television audience on Circle Network, and Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris is hosting an advanced screening of the world premiere. The “Memphis Music Hall of Fame 10th Anniversary Celebration” event will be held on Tuesday evening, March 22 at the Halloran Centre, 203 S. Main, ahead of the network airing later in the month. For the screening, guests are asked to make a $50 donation per person, which will benefit and advance the mission of the 501(c)3 Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum which administers the Memphis Music Hall of Fame. Those event tickets are available at www.eventbrite.com. Guests are invited to arrive at 5:30 pm to attend a Meet & Greet Reception with the Office of Mayor Lee Harris which will precede the screening.
The “Memphis Music Hall of Fame 10th Anniversary Celebration” program was produced by Spotlight Productions of Memphis, working with staff of the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. The show includes clips and performances of many previous Hall of Fame attendees, including Jerry Lee Lewis, John Prine, Justin Timberlake, Keith Richards, Dee Dee Bridgewater, The Blackwood Brothers, Steve Cropper, Billy Gibbons, Sam Moore and many others. The production was generously supported by Memphis Tourism, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, and the Downtown Memphis Commission.
“This telecast essentially serves as a national TV commercial promoting the City of Memphis and our city’s roster of musicians who shook the planet and placed our region on the world map,” said John Doyle, Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul and Memphis Music Hall of Fame Executive Director. “We are so grateful to Memphis Tourism, tnvacation.com, and the Downtown Memphis Commission for making it possible, to Spotlight Productions for having the creative vision for the show, to Circle Network for allowing this opportunity and sharing it globally, and to Mayor Lee Harris for hosting this premiere and consistently supporting Memphis music.”
“We are excited to bring the rich musical heritage of Memphis to our Circle audience,” said Evan Haiman, SVP of Content for Circle Network. “From the Grand Ole Opry to the Farm Aid broadcasts, this partnership reinforces Circle’s commitment to sharing the stories, amazing performances, and events within the music industry.
Immediately following the premiere screening, a brief 3-minute video will announce the 2022 Inductees into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, who will be honored in the Fall.
The “Memphis Music Hall of Fame 10th Anniversary Celebration” program is scheduled for national release on Circle Network on Thursday evening, March 31, 2022, at 7 p.m. CST.
