Reba McEntire Gives Inside Scoop on New Book ‘Not That Fancy’

On Monday morning, April 17, Reba McEntire made an official announcement about her new book titled “Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots,” which is named after McEntire’s popular track, “Fancy.”

During an interview, Reba confirmed that the book will be released on October 10, 2023.

“Well, the book is a fun book,” Reba said during her announcement on The Today Show. “Sometimes you have books like autobiographies that are really diving into stuff. This is just a fun book. You can look at it, you can read it front to back.”

Fans can expect “Not That Fancy” to include more than 50 recipes for desserts, meats, sides, and cocktails from McEntire and her family’s kitchens— including recipes that are from her restaurant in Atoka, Oklahoma called Reba’s Place. The book will also have lifestyle tips and tricks, such as McEntire’s technique for achieving her iconic hairstyle.

Reba also announced that the book will contain a forward written by fellow country superstar, Garth Brooks.

McEntire added that she will be releasing a companion album titled ‘Not That Fancy‘, alongside her book, on October 6.

The album, produced by Dave Cobb, will feature acoustic and stripped-down renditions of some of the singer’s greatest hits. Additionally, the collection will include one brand-new track titled “Seven Minutes in Heaven,” as well as three previously unreleased tracks.

After teasing the book release for quite some time now, it is available for pre-order starting today. It will be available as a hardcover, digital book, and audiobook in multiple retail and online stores.

Her exciting project comes shortly after Reba officially wrapped up her World Tour.
