CURRENT POSITIONS

Scheduling Assistant- Programming Department

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for performing a variety of Linear (TV) and FAST (free ad supported tv) network scheduling tasks to support the Programming Department. This includes program data entry, working on day-to-day scheduling in Wide Orbit and Amagi, and distributing weekly schedules internally and to various partners.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day scheduling support for Circle’s Linear and FAST channels
  • Assist with data entry of program listings in Wide Orbit, MediaStar and Amagi
  • Create and distribute weekly schedules and channel listings
  • Assist with content strategy and planning

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will support the VP, Marketing and the Director, Affiliate Marketing in the planning and execution of marketing strategies and plans to increase brand awareness and drive traffic, viewership, and engagement for Circle Media’s growing businesses across platforms. This role requires an understanding of and experience with marketing strategy, email marketing, digital marketing, public relations, and paid media. The ideal candidate must be a collaborative, proactive, data driven self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support VP, Marketing and Director, Affiliate Marketing in the planning and execution of marketing strategies for programs, campaigns, and promotions focused on driving awareness, traffic, viewership and engagement for Circle Media’s content and programming across platforms
  • Own the planning and execution of assigned projects, campaigns, and programs including planning, developing decks and creative briefs, managing creative development and delivery, implementing promotions, tracking, reporting, and analysis
  • Manage email and SMS customer communication – develop the customer lifecycle strategy, write copy, build and deploy email and SMS communications, track, analyze, and optimize performance
  • Partner with internal marketing leadership and external PR agency to plan and execute PR strategies including briefing agency, reviewing press releases, managing interview scheduling with artists, talent, and executives, and coordinating press events as needed
  • Be the expert on all owned and operated channels to best plan and maximize communication, opportunities, and placements
  • Plan, execute, and attend exciting and innovative event activations that deliver measurable results
  • Develop and/or partner with creative teams and agencies as needed to produce marketing materials and advertising creative including marketing plans and presentations, trailers and video assets, digital and social ads, content marketing pieces, linear TV spots/promos, event activations, email blasts, and print ads
  • Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Be the expert on all assigned campaigns and programs to best plan and maximize communication, opportunities, and placements to drive results

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Media Research Manager

The Media Research Manager will evaluate programming for our linear and fast channel schedules to provide insights for content strategy and audience growth. This position will analyze and interpret media research to aid in important decisions for programming, ad sales, marketing, and affiliate sales. The Media Research Manager will make recommendations regarding schedule updates and changes, and provide clear, concise direction to help achieve business goals.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyze, report, and visualize data to provide business-driven insights and recommendations for content optimization
  • Implement and maintain reports on content performance across multiple platforms
  • Manage research projects that help evaluate current programming and content in development and make recommendations to determine audience-building strategies
  • Manage Nielsen measurement tool which includes building the weekly schedule and maintaining a current database of programs and providers
  • Collaborate with other departments on analysis, insights, and decks
  • Stay current on audience measurement, new tools, and best practices
  • Provide daily scheduling support for our fast channel schedules

Video Editor- Motion Graphic Designer

The Video Editor- Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible for editing a variety of content, including but not limited to: network promos, show promos, sponsor ads and graphics. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in the Adobe editing suite and is highly motivated and organized. After Effects/Motion graphics skills are needed and coding is preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Edit and create content that promotes the various shows on the Network
  • Work with Producer to create network branding reels
  • Create motion graphics to support promos, ID’s Opens, Tags & Sponsorships
  • Program and create dynamic lower 3rds for XPression and Tickit software
  • Basic data management

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Communication, Media or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in broadcast/digital editing/motion graphic design
  • Extremely proficient in video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Traffic Assistant- Ad Sales Data Entry

This amazing entry level position working behind the scenes of a TV/VOD network is a once in a life opportunity for an entry level person. You will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to provide support to the Traffic (think Ad Sales) Department. The majority of this role will focus on metadata entry and must have strong attention to detail. This role will also assist team members with projects and serve as an idea source during team meetings. If you have Media Traffic background- great!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with promo and graphic scheduling
  • Sorts Department Inbox
  • Help with metadata entry for promos, graphics, and commercial spots
  • Traffic copy entry
  • Run promo inventory reports
  • Communicates with master control, sales, creative services department in reference to information on commercial spots and traffic instructions
  • Maintains copy filing system and purges expired copy instructions as needed

AP/AR Coordinator

This position will support all primary accounting functions focusing on AP/AR. This also includes a strong focus on invoicing and payment postings for the network, OTT, VOD and other revenue. Other top responsibilities include assist with log reconciliation, cash application to customer accounts, customer billing, processing adjustments and refunds, and month end reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform all AP/AR functions

  • Assist with Month end financial reporting

Video Shooter/Editor

WHAT WILL YOU DO: Circle is looking for a creative Video Shooter/Editor to help us grow our audience across our digital and social platforms. The ideal candidate has a passion for storytelling- both visually and narratively. The best fit candidate will create compelling videos by shooting and editing content for social and digital platforms. Background as a video producer, writer, editor is a plus, along with the track record working with a talented social and digital team. This role will focus both on independent work as well as creative projects within the social and digital media team.

TELL ME MORE:

  • Create, develop and edit high-quality, short-form videos including artist interviews, performances, and other industry focused events
  • Cut versions of content to align with the appropriate platforms utilized by Circle
  • Research current events daily within our market dynamics to create relevant content
  • Execute all Circle live streams to ensure flawless viewing
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote and enhance all marketing initiatives
  • Brainstorm creative, audience engaging ideas to increase audience base across social and digital platforms
  • Expect to work nights and weekends on exciting live streams from venues such as the Grand Ole Opry and Ole Red.

VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

BIG PICTURE:
This hands-on Senior Leadership position will lead marketing, branding, creative and audience development for the Circle brand, its programming, experiences, and events. Position will be charged with developing and executing long-term marketing strategies that build customer loyalty, grow advertising revenue and deepen the Country Music world’s relationship with Circle and its fans. Role will collaborate with Content, Programming, Distribution and Sales teams to develop cross-platform initiatives and create outside partnerships to drive ratings, revenue and reputation. The VP Marketing will be charged with growing the brand’s integrity, distinctiveness and value, including partnership with Opry Entertainment Group and Gray brands and marketing teams. Ideal candidate will be a brand builder who understands contemporary fan engagement in a fast-moving, dynamic live entertainment environment. Appreciation for the past, present and exciting future of Country Music and the Opry is key.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY TO DAY

  •  Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team
  • Map the creation and management an annual marketing plan for Linear, VOD and Social aspects of Circle
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads, maximizing ratings, revenue and reputation

Financial Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The ideal candidate will have a financial accounting background and financial accounting experience in television or network broadcasting, linear and OTT. The role performs daily and monthly accounting and control procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including reconciliation of systems, month-end close, intercompany transactions, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and assists with other month-end tasks and additional projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Initiates or reconciles operational transactions daily and maintains relevant documentation
  • Reviews activity and prepares journal entries to record daily transactions.
  • Reviews, updates, and reconciles intercompany balances, including reconciling daily activities with Treasury
  • Initiates and assists with period-end closing procedures (e.g. journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, matching and confirming intercompany balances)
  • Performs all AP/AR functions for the company o Processes and manages accounts payable, purchase orders and expense report accounting o Responsible for certain invoicing, payment processing and deposits
  • Responsible for all content accounting in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversees and analyzes cost expenditures and purchases within the organization
  • Performs ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting or closely related field required
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience in accordance with GAAP
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks Online, Wide Orbit, and Microsoft Office preferred

Billing Traffic Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position will primarily be responsible for all invoicing and payment posting for the linear network. The incumbent will also assist the Controller with other related tasks.

Content/Post-Production Internship:
The content/production team is where the network’s brand and vision come to life. This Intern will help create content at all stages of the production process. Expect to sit in on meetings where show concepts are discussed, attend production shoots, work alongside our team of editors, assist with quality control and help with delivery/distribution of finished content.

Other aspects of the internship:

  • Contribute to quality control efforts, ensuring all content adheres to network standards
  • Format acquired content for the network alongside our team of editors
  • Attend production shoots to learn and assist when needed
  • Exposure to all aspects of a media company

What to expect: 

This internship will assist and produce engaging, creative visual social content for the brand’s social communities (photo, video, gif…) and adapt our existing brand voice to the social environment. This includes working with our existing content and using all social platforms to promote our new content airing on linear, cable and VOD networks.
