DIRECTOR OF SALES- Chicago Market

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Director of Sales is responsible for year over year growth of our advertising projections. The Director will source, create, and maintain relationships, as well as execute contracts for our Linear/Cable/VOD networks. Management of the pre and post sales process will be executed against a yearly goal. Use of qualitative sales and the drive to meet/exceed sales goals is a top priority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Managing an existing book of business alongside the SVP of Sales, bringing in new business, growing the brand/agency partnerships.
  • Simultaneously sell and manage relationships while creating awareness to our growing media network.
  • Generate revenue and strive to exceed target quota by practicing consultative selling techniques.
  • Utilize existing networks & intelligence tools to identify & contact prospective brand and agency contacts.
  • Offer smart client research, trends & ideas (i.e. valid business reasons) to drive interest & cultivate relationships.
  • Own a room (even virtually) – present dynamically and instill confidence to challenge our clients in a kind, smart and creative way to ensure we are doing what is best for both businesses long-term.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend performance enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Affiliate Distribution and Programming) to ensure a seamless experience for new and existing customers.
  • Track outreach & sales activity pipeline.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Communication, Business, or related field (or relative experience) required.
  • Minimum 5 years national media sales experience preferred.
  • Remote (work from home) position.
  • National Cable Sales a plus but not required.
  • Sponsorship sales and direct to advertiser/client sales is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of all Microsoft Programs and Google Docs.
  • Sales experience with advertising agencies also preferred but not imperative.
  • Knowledge of C3 ratings sales is a plus.
  • Experience with Country/Americana lifestyle brands also a plus.
  • Connections to New York and Chicago transactional business is important.
  • Travel to corporate office in Nashville, TN and to customers across the nation will be required.

Ad Traffic Assistant- think really cool data entry job!

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to provide support to the Traffic Department. The majority of this role will focus on metadata entry and must have strong attention to detail.  This role will also assist team members with projects and serve as an idea source during team meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with promo and graphic scheduling.
  • Sorts Department Inbox.
  • Help with metadata entry for promos, graphics, and commercial spots.
  • Traffic copy entry.
  • Run promo inventory reports.
  • Communicates with master control, sales, creative services department in reference to information on commercial spots and traffic instructions.
  • Maintains copy filing system and purges expired copy instructions as needed.
  • Support Traffic Department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferable with a marketing, media or business focus.
  • Wide Orbit or similar Traffic software experience a plus.
  • Experience interacting with Broadcast Master Control preferred.
  • Previous Television/Radio traffic or Advertising traffic experience would be helpful but not required for the position.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Financial Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The ideal candidate will have a financial accounting background and financial accounting experience in television or network broadcasting, linear and OTT. The role performs daily and monthly accounting and control procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including reconciliation of systems, month-end close, intercompany transactions, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and assists with other month-end tasks and additional projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Initiates or reconciles operational transactions daily and maintains relevant documentation
  • Reviews activity and prepares journal entries to record daily transactions.
  • Reviews, updates, and reconciles intercompany balances, including reconciling daily activities with Treasury
  • Initiates and assists with period-end closing procedures (e.g. journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, matching and confirming intercompany balances)
  • Performs all AP/AR functions for the company o Processes and manages accounts payable, purchase orders and expense report accounting o Responsible for certain invoicing, payment processing and deposits
  • Responsible for all content accounting in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversees and analyzes cost expenditures and purchases within the organization
  • Performs ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting or closely related field required
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience in accordance with GAAP
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks Online, Wide Orbit, and Microsoft Office preferred

Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY/ PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position will support all primary accounting functions. This includes a strong focus on invoicing and payment postings for the network, OTT, and other revenue.  Other top responsibilities include assist with log reconciliation, cash application to customer accounts, customer billing, processing adjustments and refunds, and month end reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform all AP/AR for the company
  • Ad Sales invoicing from Post Logs
  • Posting payments and adjustments
  • Assist with Month end financial reporting
  • Ensure all billing and payment practices work for Financial Controller
  • Manages credit access to Circle
  • Assist Accounting with customer refunds
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • At least one year of accounting experience
  • AP/AR Experience preferred
  • Billing or invoicing experience a plus

This position will primarily be responsible for all invoicing and payment posting for the linear network. The incumbent will also assist the Controller with other related tasks.

  • Prepares Ad Sales invoices from Post Logs
  • Posts payments and adjustments
  • Ensures all billing and payment practices work for Financial Controller
  • Manages credit access to Circle
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You can witness and gain behind the scenes experience with our linear and VOD Media country lifestyle network.  Our internships run in the Spring, Summer and Fall College Semesters.  This PAID internship can flex between part time to full time hours.

Marketing Sponsorship and Sales:

  • Assist with tracking, organizing, and delivering partnership elements and marketing materials. 
  • Create partner assets and marketing materials, draft talent interviews and more
  • Oversee press release creation and track media hits/exposure
  • Track and compile all sponsor marketing deliverables, update tracking sheet weekly
  • Help brainstorm and create liners for talent to utilize for marketing and stunt purposes
  • Assist with distributing stunt materials/programming to AVOD platforms
  • Distribute all-staff updates on notable partner events and press releases
  • Assist marketing team with video editing and creation

Production/Content Intern:

  • Create content at all stages of the production process
  • Attend production shoots
  • Work alongside our team of editors
  • Assist with quality control
  • Help with delivery/distribution of finished content.
  • Format acquired content for the network alongside our team of editors
  • Attend production shoots to learn and assist when needed

Social Media Intern:

  • Assist and produce engaging, creative visual social content for the brand’s social communities (photo, video, gif…)
  • Learn how to adapt our existing brand voice to the social environment 
  • Promote our new content airing on linear, cable and VOD networks
  • Produce engaging, creative visual social content for the brand’s social communities (photo, video, gif…) and adapt our existing brand voice to the social environment
  • Deliver consistent social media content with the look and feel for the brand, that is uniquely adapted to each social platform and audience, and targets fans and artists
  • Monitor & research consumer conversations, competition, industry, creative trends and ideate breakthrough social activations, content inspiration and productions

Internship Qualifications:

  • Currently attending college or have graduated within a year of program start date
  • Interested in a career in television and/or client management
  • Marketing- Skilled users of social media and Google apps; working knowledge of Premiere Pro
  • Production- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects proficiency preferred
  • Social Media- Knowledge on posting content to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, SnapChat, Tiktok, and blogging outlets.
  • Self-starters who thrive working in collaborative settings
  • Able to commit up to 30 hours per week
  •  Extremely detail-oriented and organized
