ABC Drama ‘Big Sky’ Starring Reba McEntire Gets Canceled

The ABC crime drama ‘Big Sky’ will not be returning for a fourth season.

Initially, the series made a strong impact and gained popularity with its debut season in 2020. However, its ratings have declined in following seasons, leading to the cancellation.

Big Sky, featuring Katheryn Winnick and Kylie Bunbury in lead roles, was created by David E. Kelley, a prominent TV writer and producer. It was based on The Highway, a book series by C.J. Box.

In the third season, Reba McEntire joined the cast as Sunny Barnes, a successful backcountry outfitter with a secret history of missing customers. Additionally, Reba’s real-life boyfriend, Rex Linn, also joined the cast as character Buck Barnes, the husband of her character.

It hasn’t been disclosed yet if ‘Big Sky’ will continue their series through another network.

Despite her departure on Big Sky, Reba has an exciting round of television appearances coming up. Just recently, she revealed that she will be filling in for Blake Shelton as the country coach on Season 24 of ‘The Voice’.
