Carly Pearce Says That a Plane Full of People “Humbled” Her When Nobody Knew Who She Was

On Wednesday night, July 19, Carly Pearce wowed the audience during the CMA Fest special with two outstanding performances. She started solo, captivating the crowd with “What He Didn’t Do,” but the real surprise came when she invited Jo Dee Messina on stage for a sunny and unexpected duet of Jo Dee’s 1998 hit, “I’m Alright.”

Pearce has proven to be one of country music’s fastest growing stars, however, when the special aired, she found herself as just another passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight.

Pearce decided to catch the CMA Fest show on her laptop during a recent flight. Filled with excitement at seeing herself on the big stage, she attempted to turn the plane into a viewing party.

Unfortunately, the rest of the passengers weren’t as excited as Pearce.

Pearce playfully shared a video where she showed the flight attendants and crew’s not very impressed reactions when she showed them footage of her CMA Fest performance.

“Watching @cma fest live on my flight & everyone at @southwestair keeping me humble not knowing who I am,” Pearce joked , posting a video of the flight attendants and crew’s confused reactions when she showed them the footage.

Despite their evident confusion about what they’re witnessing and their lack of knowledge about Pearce, the crew members in the video appear to be as supportive as possible.

“This is me! On TV tonight! That’s why I’m yelling!” Pearce enthusiastically tells one of the workers.

“What? What?! Congratulations,” the woman responds.

Although the passengers on the plane didn’t know Pearce’s identity, she will forever remain a star in our eyes!
