Carrie Underwood isn’t finished with Denim & Rhinestones.
In an Instagram announcement, the country music sensation revealed the release of a deluxe edition of her album, Denim & Rhinestone, along with a new track titled “Take Me Out,” which will be featured on the upcoming project.
Underwood wrote the song, along with her longtime collaborators David Garcia and Hillary Lindsey. The song beautifully captures her longing to rekindle a romance with her beloved partner.
Take me out on the town / Flirt with me in the dark / Make my heart skip a beat / Like only you can do to me / Stealin’ kisses in some old dive bar / And make me feel like your woman / Slow burnin’ in a neon crowd / Yeah, I’m wantin’ you to want me, baby / So take me out / Take me out,” she sings.
Scheduled to arrive on September 22nd, the deluxe 18-track album will comprise of six additional songs, including “Take Me Out” and Underwood’s latest single on country radio “Out of That Truck.” The album is currently open for pre-order and pre-save.
