Eminem Joins Ed Sheeran on Stage for Surprise Duet in Detroit

Eminem and Ed Sheeran are the dream team we never realized we needed!

Eminem and Ed Sheeran surprised the world on Saturday in Detroit, as they teamed up for an unexpected collaboration at Ford Field Stadium.

Fans of Sheeran were pleasantly surprised when Eminem made an appearance on stage during Sheeran’s cover performances of Eminem’s popular hits “Lose Yourself” and “Stan.”

“I wondered if I can play you a cover of an Eminem song tonight,” Sheeran asked the cheering crowd.

As Sheeran started performing an acoustic rendition of the iconic 8 Mile Road soundtrack song, ‘Lose Yourself,’ a thrilling moment unfolded when Eminem himself emerged on stage, taking over the mic and delivering his rap verses.

“Detroit. What a moment,” Sheeran wrote in the caption.

Numerous videos shared on social media by attendees captured the moment when Sheeran addressed the crowd, revealing that Eminem’s appearance was initially planned for a single song.

“And I said, ‘you can’t come on in Detroit and do just one song.’ Do you want another song?” Sheeran said.

They then continued their performance by singing Eminem’s 2000’s smash hit “Stan.”

However, this wasn’t the first time Sheeran joined Eminem on stage for this particular song. They previously performed it together in November during Eminem’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Additionally, the artists have collaborated on several tracks in the past. Sheeran lent his talent to Eminem’s songs “River” and “Those Kinda Nights,” while Sheeran featured Eminem and 50 Cent on his own track titled “Remember The Name.”
