Hot Country Knights Are Back– This Time With a New Band Member

Hot Country Knights are back— and they’ve brought on a new band member.

Hot Country Knights and Darla McFarland have teamed up to create a new track titled “Herassmeant.” The hilarious song is collaboratively written by Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, Luke Dick, and Jim Beavers.

Not only did Dierks Bentley contribute to the creation of the song, but he also takes on the role of the lead singer for Hot Country Knights, adopting the comedic persona of Douglas ‘Doug’ Dougalson. Simultaneously, Lainey Wilson introduces her new alter ego, Darla McFarland, making her comedic debut on the track.

“Herassmeant,” the song that will be featured on Hot Country Knights’ upcoming project titled MidKnight Rodeo, showcases Doug and Darla playfully mocking the viral sensation surrounding Lainey Wilson’s butt while cleverly incorporating a wordplay on the term “harassment.”

Hot Country Knights is a country parody band consisting of Douglas Douglason (aka “Doug”), Marty Ray Roburn (aka “Rayro”), Terotej Dvoraczekynski (aka “Terry”), Barry Van Ricky, Trevor Travis, and Monte Montgomery. It was founded in 2015 by Dierks Bentley. The band’s purpose is to humorously pay homage to country music from the 1990s. They gained recognition and signed with Capitol Records Nashville in 2020, which is also the record label Bentley is signed to.

Hot Country Knights announced on Instagram that they will be joining Dierks Bentley on his upcoming Gravel & Gold Tour, further showcasing their unique blend of ‘90s country satire.
