Lainey Wilson has been on an incredible winning streak lately, winning two CMT Awards last month and recently became one of the most nominated people of the upcoming ACM Awards, with 6 nominations.
But could she add “Emmy Award Winner” to her impressive list of credentials?
Lainey Wilson’s song “Smell Like Smoke,” which she debuted on season 5 of Yellowstone, as well as on the track list of her latest album, Bell Bottom Country, is eligible for an Emmy consideration this year, in the outstanding music and lyrics category.

Wilson made her acting debut on Yellowstone as character Abby, a fellow musician. Her role in the show came about after she became friends with the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, in 2018. Her character was created specifically for her, matching her talents, character and style along with the ability to perform her own songs for the show.
The 2023 Emmy Awards are set to take place this September. Fans will find out whether or not Wilson’s Yellowstone Emmys submission will be make her a nominee once the nominations list comes out in July.
Wilson is currently performing with Luke Combs on his world tour for 2023, for specific dates, along with shows planned for multiple festivals throughout the summer.
