Kelly Clarkson has officially announced that her new album “Chemistry,” which details her recent divorce, is set to release on June 23rd.
“Having chemistry with someone is an incredible, and overwhelming, feeling. It’s like you have no choice in the matter. You are just drawn to each other. This can be good and bad. This album takes you down every path that chemistry could lead you down,” Clarkson says in her announcement.
In anticipation of the album, Clarkson recently shared two tracks, “Mine” and “Me,” with her fans.
“We decided to release “Mine” and “Me” at the same time because I didn’t want to release just one song to represent an entire album, or relationship,” Clarkson explains, “There are many stages of grief and loss on this album. Each song is a different stage and emotional state.”
As of right now, Clarkson hasn’t announced an upcoming tour, however, she is scheduled to perform in Las Vegas for a 10 day residency . The Chemistry residency will run from July 28 through August 19 at the Bakkt Theater. Read more on Kelly Clarkson here!
