Kelsea Ballerini shared comfort for the brokenhearted with her surprise EP and short film release, “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat,” earlier this year.
The project beautifully depicted the complex emotions surrounding the end of Ballerini’s past marriage and the overwhelming public scrutiny it received. Her raw vulnerability in the project deeply resonated with fans— and now she is taking us even deeper behind the scenes.
In August, Ballerini will be hosting three intimate conversations and screenings for her short film “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat,” where she will personally share insights about the project with her fans.
Starting on August 1, the series of events kicks off at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. Ballerini will premiere the short film that she personally wrote and directed, offering fans an exclusive screening, according to Billboard. During this special occasion, she will provide an intimate look behind the scenes, sharing her creative vision and the process of bringing the film to life.
Additionally, Ballerini will delve into the writing and recording process of her EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, discussing each track from the powerful opening song “Mountain With a View” to the conclusion of “Leave Me Again.”
Continuing the tour, Ballerini will then lead another screening and discussion at Nashville’s esteemed Country Music Hall of Fame on August 8. This will be followed by a final screening and conversation at New York City’s prestigious Whitby Theater on August 10.
