After receiving such positive feedback, Wilson felt inspired to show off her talent by creating an a cappella mashup of “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Strawberry Wine,” on TikTok.

Deana Carter herself noticed the cover and shared that she received an “overwhelming” amount of requests to respond with her own rendition of the mashup. Before taking on the challenge, she took a moment to praise Wilson as an artist.

Wilson decided to create a third video where she reacted to Carter’s TikTok. Referring to Carter as her “soul sister,” Wilson seamlessly blended her voice with the country icon as she started singing the tune. This impromptu collaboration gave fans a taste of the duet they had been eagerly hoping for.
“Thank you for your influence, you the queen,” Wilson said in the video as she gushed about her fellow female songstress. “Beautiful inside and out. That is Deana Carter for you right there, y’all. One of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Loves people, loves the lord.”
