Maddie Font, one half of the country duo Maddie & Tae, has entered a new chapter of her life—motherhood!
The singer took to Instagram to share the fantastic news of the arrival of her first child, a baby boy, with her husband, Jonah Font.
On a sign beside the newborn, she proudly revealed that their son, Forrest Henry Font, made his entrance into the world on Saturday, September 9, at 4:03 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. and 10 oz.
“After 37 hard hours of labor, finally getting to push, and ending up having an emergency c section and being put under, Forrest Henry Font made his debut,” Maddie wrote.
She also took a moment to express her gratitude to the amazing hospital staff who went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible, even though things didn’t quite go according to their initial plan.
“Thank you to our incredible medical team at St Thomas Midtown for taking incredible care of us and making a really scary experience as calm and comfortable as possible for our little family.”
“Forrest is everything Jonah and I could’ve ever dreamed of, and we’d go through it all over again for him,” she added.
The couple married in November 2019, saying their “I dos” at the The Barn at Sycamore Farms in Arrington, Tennessee. Their love story began seven years prior when they started dating, and became engaged in June 2018.
Back in April, the pair shared their pregnancy news, using what seems to be the same delightful sign they used for their heartwarming birth announcement.
