Maren Morris Announces Two New Songs, Signifying a New Era of Music

Maren Morris is ready to “Bridge” her past and future together with 2 new songs.

Morris has revealed an upcoming release titled “The Bridge,” a two-song set featuring brand new tracks, “The Tree” and “Get The Hell Out Of Here,” scheduled to drop on Friday, September 15th.

“BRIDGE; a connecting, transitional or intermediate route or phase between two adjacent conditions. ‘The Bridge’ honors where I’ve been and but also feels like a forward step into the sun,” Maren shared.

“As I’ve been working on my record nonstop this year, I realized these two songs deserved a moment on their own – a story in their own right, written a day apart from each other – a tender duo and bridge to my next album,” she continued. “I welcome, celebrate and grieve the changes that have happened these last few years and these songs say it better than I ever could in a caption or interview.”

“The album is coming but in the meantime, let’s cross the bridge together,” Maren added. “‘Wherever I’m going, hope I’m not the only.’”

Although she’s keeping her new music direction hush-hush, Morris dropped a sneak peek of a new song recently that’s been getting a lot of buzz, due primarily because it seems to call out Jason Aldean’s track “Try That in a Small Town.”

Morris’ new phase in her musical journey follows her most recent full-length album, Humble Quest, which was released in March 2022.
