Military Hero Has a Once in a Lifetime Experience at the Grand Ole Opry

This DISH Hometown Hero experienced a trip of a lifetime this weekend!

Dennis Duddie, a distinguished military veteran with a remarkable background in the US Navy and Army National Guard, and currently serving as the Commander at American Legion post 170 in Rochelle Park, NJ, had an unforgettable weekend at the Grand Ole Opry.

Recently, Duddie’s outstanding contributions were acknowledged, being crowned the DISH Hometown Military Hero of the Year. As a reward, he was whisked away on an epic adventure to Nashville, Tennessee. There, he had the opportunity to be a special guest on the Circle Network and WSM Radio’s morning show Coffee, Country & Cody. Additionally, he got to live out every country lover’s dream by exploring the iconic Grand Ole Opry.

During his backstage tour of the Opry, Duddie made a life-changing decision and took the ultimate leap by proposing to his girlfriend, Janet, while center stage in the historic Circle. She said yes, making the weekend even more unforgettable than he could’ve imagined!
