Morgan Wallen Faces Lawsuit Over Concert Cancellation: Latest Updates

Morgan Wallen fans have not been happy with the country music star ever since Wallen canceled his Sunday night show in Mississippi —and one fan is more upset than the rest.

Fans were already seated inside the arena, with Wallen’s opening acts performing for the crowd. Just a few minutes before Wallen was suppose to appear on stage, a message was displayed on stage, saying that the show is now canceled due to Wallen losing his voice.

Fans were clearly very upset due to this, so much so that one fan has decided to take legal action.

According to court documents, a fan named Brandi Burcham filed a federal lawsuit on Monday, April 24, against Wallen, accusing him of breach of contract and negligence.

In the lawsuit, Burcham pointed out that the University of Mississippi, who hosted the sold-out event has yet to comment about reimbursement for ticketholders.

She also says the potential refunds don’t take into account “out of pocket expenses,” that customers bought such as food, lodging, transportation and other fees.

Burcham is aiming to make the suit a class action lawsuit, in hopes to include other fans affected by Wallen’s cancellation. If the judge approves the class action, Burcham will be able to encourage others to join the lawsuit.

Wallen announced last night, April 25th, that his other concerts that were scheduled this week have been canceled as well, but those have a new scheduled date set for fans. Future plans have still not been announced for his missed Mississippi show, leaving fans wondering if they will have another chance to see Wallen in concert.
