This past weekend at the Grand Ole Opry, rising country duo Tigirlily Gold made their Opry debut. After the duo visited the Grand Ole Opry 10 years ago, they made it their dream to one day make their debut, and we couldn’t be happier that it finally happened!
Sister duo Tigirlily Gold, made up of Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, have been playing music together their entire lives and have been singing together before they could walk! These two sisters have made a big splash in the country music scene after moving from a small town in North Dakota to Nashville.
When they first started playing in Nashville, they landed a residency at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Broadway. They played multiple nights a week to make ends meet. Their hard work paid off after their release of their hit song, “Somebody Does” in 2021, which led them to being signed to Monument Records. Since then, these two have been a force to be reckoned with.
After making their powerful Opry debut this past Saturday night, Tigirlily Gold posted a heartfelt picture. They stated, “There were so many things that were special about last night, but stepping into the circle as sisters & as best friends was an absolute dream come true. We will never ever forget the night May 13, 2023.”
Circle Network went backstage to chat with Tigirlily Gold before their debut! “We really just hoped to make our Grand Ole Opry debut some day,” stated Kendra. It was always a big goal and passion of ours, and we really had a dream to play the stage,” added Krista.
