The country superstar took to social media on Sunday to share a behind-the-scenes video from a recent concert held in Lincoln, Nebraska. In the video, Shania Twain provided a glimpse into her process of assembling outfits for every show. In her caption, Twain disclosed her unique method of creating fresh looks by repurposing outfits she had worn before.
“Wanted to give you all a sneak peek at what happens before each show backstage,” Twain said in her video caption. “Some of you have already noticed, but I’m creating new looks for every night using outfits I’ve previously worn.” She also revealed that some of the repurposed items are up to 10 years old.
In the video, Twain sported a pink, polka dot long-sleeved shirt, along with black sequin shorts and a vibrant hot pink wig. She’s seen adding to the outfit by accessorizing with multiple necklaces. She also creatively incorporated black chiffon bows behind one hip and behind one shoulder, adding a touch of “asymmetrical pattern” as she described in the video.
“We’re putting our scraps to work,” she said regarding her fashion process.
During a recent interview with E! News, Shania Twain shed light on her evolved fashion sense and confidently shared the reason behind her willingness to embrace vibrant colors in her wardrobe.
“Over the years, I have had many different styles,” she said, adding, “I’m playing more with color right now, and I’m enjoying that because I’m going gray.”
“As I go gray, I’m like, ‘I might as well toy around with different colors,'” the country star shared.
Twain also shares that she came to the realization that, for her, hair serves as an extension of fashion, a realm she takes great pleasure in.
