Spotify announced the news on Twitter, captioning the post, “Queen behavior…On August 29th, Taylor Swift became the first female artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners.”
After releasing her third re-recorded album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” in July, Swift achieved another triumph as the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This success also led her to become the first woman with four albums in the Billboard album chart’s top 10 simultaneously, making her the third artist ever to achieve this milestone.
Swift’s most recent announcement, made at her final Los Angeles Eras Tour show earlier this month, revealed the launch of “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” a re-recorded rendition of her 2014 album “1989.”
Swift provided additional insights about the forthcoming release on her Instagram, accompanied by an image showcasing the album’s cover art.
“To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From the Vault tracks are so insane,” she wrote. “I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”
After years of wanting to play in Mexico City, just got to play 4 of the most unforgettable shows for the most beautiful and generous fans. Feeling so grateful for the memories we’re making together on this tour 🥹 TE AMO. 🇲🇽
