Watch: Luke Combs Releases Official Live Version of ‘Fast Car’

Luke Combs has released an official live version of his chart topping cover of ‘Fast Car.’

Captured during his sold out show at Minneapolis’ US Bank Stadium earlier this spring, the live rendition continues Combs’ streak of success with the single.

Accumulating over 435 million global streams to date, “Fast Car” stands as a remarkable accomplishment. Holding the position of No. 1 on the Hot AC chart for the second consecutive week, securing the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and maintaining five continuous weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, the song has marked Combs’ 16th consecutive No. 1 hit on country radio.

Impressively, the single has remained in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks, while also currently occupying a top 10 position on the American Top 40 chart.

Tracy Chapman, the mastermind behind “Fast Car,” first introduced the song in 1988 as the primary single from her debut album. The track achieved immense popularity, reaching a significant No. 6 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and securing her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
