Carrie Underwood

We Can’t Believe Carrie Underwood Still Has This From Her American Idol Days

Carrie Underwood has become a household name over the years. She rose to fame after winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005 and has since become one of the most successful artists in country music.

But did you know that one of the prizes that Carrie Underwood received for winning American Idol was a stunning brand-new Ford Mustang convertible?

Fast forward 18 years later, and she still holds onto that same car! What’s even more exciting is that she occasionally takes it out for a spin.

“I do still have the car that I won when I won American Idol,” Underwood reveals during an interview. “So I have my blue Mustang. And every once in a while something will happen where I’ll have my car getting serviced or whatever, and I’ll get to drive that car. And it always makes me want to drive it more, because it was such a pivotal point in my life. That was the car that I was driving around when I first moved to Tennessee, and I’m very, very glad I still have that car.”

Carrie Underwood proves to appreciate and remember her roots before major fame came along.

Since her early days, Underwood has released multiple chart-topping hits, and most recently dropped a fresh track titled “Out Of That Truck.” The 40-year-old artist collaborated with Lydia Vaughn and David Garcia to create this song, which draws inspiration from the experience of struggling to move on from someone due to constant physical reminders.

She has officially wrapped up her Denim and Rhinestones Tour, but we are eagerly anticipating new music in the near future! In the meantime, you can catch Carrie Underwood at a handful of festival dates this summer at her Carrie Underwood: REFLECTION residency at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, NV.
