Wynonna Judd can’t help but gush over Post Malone, and who can blame her?
In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Wynonna opened up about her love for Post Malone, and how she believes he is one of the best performers out there right now.
“In the car when you’re going 75, what do you listen to? Post Malone,” Wynonna said regarding how she became a fan.
But it’s not just Post Malone’s catchy beats that have won Judd over— it’s his live shows that truly stole her heart. She attended one of his concerts and was left starstruck. In her words, it was “one of the best shows” she’s ever seen, and that’s coming from someone who knows a thing or two about putting on a spectacular performance!
Yet, it’s not all about the music for Judd. She admires Post Malone not just as an artist, but as a person. She mentions her appreciation for his down-to-earth nature and his devotion to family. To her, he’s not just a performer, he’s a genuine and creative person who knows how to keep it real.
“I love Post Malone. If you go see his shows, you know, it’s real easy to judge the book by the cover and all this stuff that you hear. He’s got the most tender heart, he’s got a baby, he’s in love, he’s happy, he’s pretty darn normal in a sense because he’s very present,” she says. “He’s smart and he’s just so creative. And I saw his show. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.”
“No, I’m serious— he’s a great singer,” she adds. “That’s another thing. He is a great singer and his melodies—You know, so much of music, sometimes, it doesn’t have melody as much anymore. He sings. I could not have loved his show more.”
She even attended one of his tour stops in Atlanta as part of his “If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying” tour, supporting his album “Austin.” After the show, she took to Instagram to share clips and pictures from the night, including an adorable snapshot of her hugging it out with Post Malone and Brad Paisley, proving she is the ultimate Postie fan.
