Garth Brooks Jokes That His Extreme Bond With Wife Trisha Yearwood Is a “Blessing and a Curse”

Even after 17 years of marriage, the bond of love between Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood remains unbreakable. However, Garth acknowledges that his reliance on her might be a problem.

In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, Brooks openly shared insight on his dependency for Yearwood.

“I was telling somebody the other day, I feel so helpless because there’s nothing I can’t do without her,” Brooks admitted. “There’s nothing I can’t do with her and there’s nothing I can do without her.”

Brooks added that, “It’s a blessing and a curse that you feel so free and independent when she’s there and you’re so dependent when she’s not there.”…“I don’t think she feels this way at all, but I know I do.”

Almost twenty years have passed since Brooks and Yearwood exchanged vows in December 2005, but the couple remains stronger than ever.

“Just being in the same room with a woman breathing the same air. We don’t have to be doing anything together, but just knowing she’s there [is nice],” Brooks says regarding his wifes company.

Recently, Garth Brooks launched his new radio station,‘The BIG 615’, named after the Nashville area code. This is part of Brooks’ SEVENS Radio network and will offer free streaming through TuneIn.

Brooks expressed that the new station will not only pay tribute to country music legends who are universally adored but also feature tracks from contemporary and emerging country music artists, allowing listeners to discover fresh talent.
