Listen: Iam Tongi Releases Debut Single ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’

American Idol finalist, Iam Tongi, has officially released his debut single ‘I’ll Be Seeing You.’

The song honors his late father, who recently passed away last year, just a few months before his American Idol audition.

In the heartfelt lyrics of his song, “I’ll Be Seeing You,” Iam Tongi openly expresses that he will forever cherish his father’s quick wit and the joyful moments they shared. Although he acknowledges feeling lonely, he finds peace instead the feeling of fear, knowing that one day they will reunite.

Iam Tongi’s debut single came just days after he made the Top 3 on American Idol alongside Megan Danielle and Colin Stough.

‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ isn’t the first time Iam has paid tribute to his father throughout his musical journey. During his American Idol audition, Iam sang  James Blunt’s 2019 hit “Monsters,” a song in which Blunt wrote as a tribute to his own father, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Disease.

Live from Hollywood, Iam Tongi, Megan Danielle, and Colin Stough are set to compete for the prestigious title of American Idol winner in the thrilling three-hour season finale tomorrow, Sunday, May 21 at 7 pm CT.
