Toby Keith will be honored with the prestigious Country Icon Award during the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards. The event is scheduled to be held at the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Thursday, September 28.
The exciting announcement was made public by NBC and Peacock through an official press release on Tuesday afternoon, July 18.

At the event, fellow Oklahoman and country superstar, Blake Shelton, will have the honor of presenting the award to Toby Keith.
The award is a tribute to Keith’s extraordinary career as a pioneering musician, compassionate humanitarian, and successful entrepreneur. It will also acknowledge his remarkable 30-year journey as a musician, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.
